Spring is almost here! Time to do some cleaning and refreshing of your home after this long dreary winter.
I know I’m not alone on this…. Right?
The best way to get into the Spring mood is to bring the outdoors in with flowers and twigs from your garden. Twigs, you ask? Yes, twigs can be beautiful, and with a bit of imagination and creativity, can add some beautiful texture and rustic quality to a tablescape or mantel vignette.
Take a look at some of the beautiful creations I found while checking out some of my favorite blogs and websites.
How beautiful is this mantel vignette?
These twigs are beautifully displayed in demijohns. Look how wonderfully they work in a grouping!
And as part of this amazing tablescape
How about a craft project using twigs to make a mirror or wreath?
Twigs work wonderfully as a light fixture as well. Check out this beautiful chandelier. Perfect for a woodland or garden themed sunroom
Here are some other fabulous tablescapes using twigs
Well what if you live in the city and don’t have access to twigs?
Use faux twigs of course!
This is a slippery slope, decorating with faux twigs and flowers. I have seen some really bad fakes. Be sure to choose good quality ones that look like the real thing. It should be very difficult to decipher the real from the fake.
Here is a close up of a faux twig as seen in the picture above from my design studio
This twig comes complete even with the texture of real twigs.
If you are not quite into using real or faux twigs in your home, you can at least get some inspiration from drapery hardware or wall art inspired by the look of twigs.
This piece from Global Views is a favorite of mine. What an amazing focal point this would make above a fireplace!
How inspired are you to use some twigs to style some vignettes in your home? I bet you are!
How would you use them? Please leave me a comment below.
Have a Terrific Tuesday!
Be Inspired!
What is that material you used on that wreath ? I want to make one just like that.
I didn’t make the wreath Amanda, but it is twigs and burlap. You can get the twig wreath form at a craft store like Michaels for about $20 and then add your embellishments like the burlap rosettes
I love twig crafts. I made a mini twig wreath and some twig stars a few months ago. Love that mirror, amazing
Beautiful! Never knew twigs can change a room’s aura that way. You have a eye for beauty, Veronica.
I love the gold twig and the curtain holder! I love how something so simple as twigs can be use to decorate a room to give it that added flare! I would not have thought of that!!
Very cute. Maybe once my kids are all grown, but with them being so little, it doesn’t make sense to decorate like that right now.
Totally love these TWIGS! What a great idea to decorate! Modern and simple! Very classic!
I love the twigs craft! Gives homes a nice classic look. I wish I’d knew how to decorate my home.
Thanks for sharing, some great ideas. I live in the middle of the woods so twigs are readily available. Love the pics.
These looks great! I have never used twigs in my decor, but I think I am going to start!
I wonder when can I put twigs at home with 2 children on the house (2 and 3 years old), I can imagine they’d look like spaghetti noodles in 10 minutes. Lol! Nice pics, really!
I live in the woods too and I have a brown glass jug that would look nice with some decorative twigs like the ones in this post. I really like variety in the Southern Hospitality Blog’s photo. Great ideas here!
I would love to add some twig projects to my house. My favorites are the sunburst mirror and the wreath. So cute – and spring fresh!
What is it about something so simple that really does add so much to a room. How often do we walk by twigs on the ground. I actually found some that I plan to use that have baby pine cones attached to them. Not sure quite yet what I will do with them but they were too pretty to pass up and they were free!
I just used some twigs in candle vases. They turned out so pretty.
I had never really thought about using twigs for decor before, but those look so pretty I am going to place some on my buffet!
WOW! I really like some of these. What a great idea!!
Wow Veronica, those are amazing! What a creative eye and talent you have!
I love the look! My friend has a lot of decorations that look similar in her house. I wonder if she read your blog? Haha. I love the wreath!
This idea is a perfect example of thinking out of the box. It reminds me of every Autumn when my mother would gather straw from the field to use in her Halloween decorations.
wow!,I have no idea that the twigs can be beautiful,:) I hope I had the same talent like you have, i really need your help. Thanks for this beautiful blog.
I have always thought that twigs were more for the rustic look, but some of the decorative twigs you showed us are absolutely beautiful and not rustic in the least. I will be looking at twigs in a whole new way.
I like your ideas here. They bring spring and dimension to the decor.
Nice ideas to use twigs to decorate. I use them for holidays most.
I like this look of using twigs to change up a room.
These are fabulous ideas!!! I think I’m going to have to try some of them in my home this spring. Thank you for the awesome tip!!
I like craft like that.
Did you know that they trim every year the grape vine and those are the main source of twigs ?
This is a really nice way to decorate. Adds a while new look to the room (kim)
LOVE the mirror and wreath! Such creative and beautiful ideas!
Wow. I like the look twigs offer. It is like a rustic cabin effect. Makes the room look and feel more earthy.
Woow Those are lovely twigs.. i didnt know that twigs can be useful for decorating. Thank you for sharing
I do alot of twig and leaf decor. It is cheap and very easy!
My aunt would love these ideas – she decorates like this all the time. Me? I’m usually pretty classic and the closest I get to this would be the rock collection on the shelf. Your ideas look great though!
I think these twigs give the room a really warm feeling. I would have never thought of using these to decorate.
I love twig decorating. I would love to own an old farmhouse and put in one of those twig light fixtures!
You are so talented. Have I asked to you come move in with me to help me decorate?
I love the whole decorating with twigs look. I was born in the 50s and raised in the 60s and believe it or not twigs were used quite a bit back then to decorate with.
I love the different tablescapes with twigs. Not a fan of the chandelier though.
The little bit of decorating I do, is very nature inspired. I have several “twig” items. Love the wreath!
I like the look of using twigs for decorations, especially the ones with blooming flowers
I’ve wanted to do something with twigs but never got around to doing it. These are great tips
You have such gorgeous designs! I would never think to use twigs, but you have such gorgeous creations!
Thank you all for your great comments
Those are beautiful set ups. I have never really thought to use twigs to decorate.
Gorgeous! I love it–and I love decorating with twigs–especially forsythia, cherry blossom, etc. and, I adore your blog background. okay–so this is my new favorite blog. So happy I found it!
I really like this idea as well. The twig light fixture is very unique. Agree to not go cheap here, as a real estate agent…I’ve seen a lot of bad stuff here. My wife prefers Pottery Barn for these items.
Pottery barn is a wonderful source
oh man! The beautiful things you do with the most random ideas! I love it!
Haha! Thanks Ashley
Wow! Who would have thought of using twigs as decoration? They surely look great too. Thanks for the ideas.
You’re welcome Amanda!
I like the idea of using twigs and tree branches for decorations around the house. I recently made a tree branch headbands holder for my daughter who used to keep misplacing her headbands.
That’s a fun idea! I hope you can share pictures with us
What great ideas and I really like that light fixture. You must spend a lot of time finding these perfect accessories!
Some of these pictures are from other sources online. They are cited below each photo
Branches/Twigs are really “in” now! I have a wreath made from them!
They are. There are so many inspirations on Pinterest
I absolutely love the twigs on that mirror and the wreath. They are both so pretty!
I do too Courtney. I am soooo inspired
I think those ideas are fabulous! I am definitely ready for spring
I am too Annie!
Oh you’re ideas in home decorating are so beautiful! I love that first pic! I am looking for pussy willows. I love those twigs!
Thank you Mel
I really like this earthy decor! I used to collect pussy willows which last forever if picked at the right time and ship them to my grandmother in Florida. Plus I used them in the center pieces at my wedding!
That sounds great Erica! I love pussy willows
I love the idea of decorating stuff with twigs – I have always wanted that idea but never tried it myself because of lack of time – but hopefully, one day I would.
Never thought of twigs for a decoration but I might start trying now. They all look great!
