Pictures From My Trip To Florida

I am back home in Texas and have settled back nicely into routines following my trip to Ft. Lauderdale last week. As much fun as I had visiting family and long time friends, it’s so good to be home.

It never fails - I’ll go away for a few days without the kids, excited about getting one ounce of freedom from mommyhood, but one day into this so-called freedom, and I am missing the kids terribly. I’m calling and texting constantly. It actually ends up being more work than actually being home :-) But fortunately for my mommy ego, I can see that the kids miss me too :-)

As I promised, I am about to share some pictures of my time in Florida. I thought I would have taken a lot more, but quite honestly, pulling out my iPhone and taking pictures while hanging with people I haven’t seen in eight years, was the last thing on my mind. So I’ll share what I remembered to take. Be forewarned that these were all taken using an iPhone, so not the best quality.

I shared this one before. This is my mom Elizabeth. It was great seeing her again. It had been about three years since the last time we were together.

Each time I get dressed to go out, I would take a selfie to send to my daughter Courtney. She always has to give me feedback on my outfits, even when I’m away :-)

She would send me selfies too :-) My son Josh, is not big on pictures, so no selfies from him, but a bunch of facetime calls.

I had such a great time catching up with long time friends, looking through old photo albums and laughing our butts off and seeing how much we have changed over the years.

Next stop, our high school 90th anniversary celebration in Jamaica in October. I cannot wait!. :-)

  1. I do not have any children BUT I do and have had furbabies most of my life–if they could not go with me on vacation-I just did and do not go! You really look like you had a blast!

  2. Hi Veronica,

Looks like you had a blast. It’s always nice to get the ones you care about together. Thanks for sharing the pics! Will be back soon!

  3. Looks like you had a fun time. And it was so nice that you were able to visit your mother. By the way, that mediteranean restaurant looks like a ton of fun!

  4. It looks like you had a great time. You have a beautiful family. I love that you and your daughter are that close, if I sent a picture to my son asking him what to wear, I do not think I would like the response!

  5. You sound just like my wife.. That’s why it took a long time to go away, but then there is facetime and skype.. so we were away but not away!.. You looked like you have a great time!

  6. Looks like you had a good time! It’s always nice to reconnect with family and friends you haven’t been able to see in a while. That high school reunion sounds exciting too!

  7. Your family is so beautiful! And I also love that white dress! I don’t think we’ve ever had a kid free getaway, but we are counting down the days until they go off to college so we can travel ;)

  8. Glad you had such a great time with family and friends. Did you know there’s a great App for the iPhone called camera + and you can brighten, crop, add frames, etc. It’s a great App. Use it when I take pics at a clients house.

  9. Looks like you had a lot of fun in Florida and I love the picture of you and your mom. I don’t have a pic of my mom and me together and I sometimes wish that I did. Cherish the times you have together.

    • Lol. Thank you! It says ” 1958 Aimer pour toujours” Aimer pour toujours is French for love you always or love always or love forever I think. Not sure the significance of 1958 but I thought the graphics was pretty cool.

  10. You look like you had a lovely time thank you for sharing your pics,to be honest i have not had any time away from the kiddies in well forever but i think i would hate being away so i would rather stay at home or us all go together.

Share your thoughts or ask a question. We love hearing from you!
