After the last few months of non-stop decision making, planning, moving, running a business, and just living life, I have to say that I am dreaming of a Caribbean vacation – particularly a Jamaican vacation.
Although I am a citizen of the United States, I grew up in Montego Bay, Jamaica and moved here at age 24, so the island still calls my name at least once every year – especially in the summer. I just love taking my children there for summer vacations where they get to experience and dive a little bit more into my culture.

Unfortunately, there are no plans to visit for this summer due to my work demands and this crazy move, but I can still dream and reminisce. A Jamaican vacation would definitely be nice.

We visited Montego Bay, Jamaica in 2008 while on a cruise. This country is very beautiful and I loved the beaches. We choose to go to Margaritaville as well and it was amazing. The water is so crystal clear and I actually enjoyed spending time in the ocean for once. Thank you for sharing.

I am sure you must miss home terribly. it looks so beautiful. I have not been there but did see some of the islands in the Caribbean – maybe the time to go is in the winter !!
We visited on a cruise, too, gee, many years ago. Richard and I loved to cruise. Montego Bay is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. No wonder you miss it. I don’t know the answer to your question, but I do understand why you want to go home for a visit!

I can understand what you mean when you say that Jamaica calls your name. I have to go “home” a few times a year. Thank you for the lovely photos. I know the water is delightful since I’ve been to the Caribbean a few times. Hope you get a chance to go home soon!

That looks like such a great vacation. I love going to Hawaii. You just have to love the beach especially when you live in the desert. It’s so nice to get away and unwind.
