Not too long ago, I came across this photo on a Facebook page I follow called Secret Garden, of this cute little turtle looking longingly out of a window. I don’t quite know why, because I am not a big fan of reptiles, but I fell in love with the little guy. (Isn’t he cute? :-) ) In a way, he reminds me of my Chiweenie, Rufus! I shared him on my Facebook Page and apparently I’m not the only one who feels this way :-) He just seems to have a personality and apparently some self awareness.

I decided to use the little guy as the mascot for my next window treatment promotion that I am running for the summer. Kinda makes sense since he is looking out of a naked window :-) right?

This is the text that will caption this cute little picture:

“Have your naked windows left you sad and blue? Then race on over to Casa Vilora Interiors and No Naked Windows and take advantage of our summer sale! Up to 20% off all window treatments including custom drapery, blinds, shutters and energy saving options too! Sale starts on June 1 and runs the entire summer! Contact us now or visit our online store to see your options for custom drapery panels”

What do you think?

Ok, so here’s where the favor (or game) comes in. The game is called “Name The New Mascot For No Naked Windows”. Here goes:

You guessed it, I need your help figuring  out what to name this little guy….or girl! (Equal opportunity here :-) ) He is much too cute to go nameless….don’t you think? :-)

  1. He/she reminds me of a red eared turtle I had as a kid called Tootles. ( yea I was only 10 ).. who escaped under a fridge and lived under there for 6 months. My kids had three turtles and their names escape me but I think it should have a decorator type name like ” Wally ” ( short for Wallpaper )
That is as creative as 7 am gets !!

  2. Love it! We have a turtle like this (well, not exactly, ours is a side-necked turtle) and her name is Victoria. She might be Victor, but we call her Victoria! Anyway, I LOVE your pages (but facebook doesn’t offer that option) and I share your blogs all the time. But, alas, I don’t have a name for YOUR Victoria. I’ll think about it, but so far I like Prince Valance suggested by Deborah.

  3. You should name him “Nicodemus”

    The meaning is: People’s victory.

In the Bible, Nicodemus assisted Joseph of Arimathea with the burial of Jesus Christ.

  4. I love reptiles too!! This little turtle just melts my heart!

I am a huge fan of Greek mythology, so how about:
    Athena – English
    Minerva – Roman

Both have the same meaning: Goddess of wisdom, weaving, the arts, warfare and reason. She is the favorite daughter of Zeus.

Good luck in your search for a mascot name!
