HappyNest one-day makeover and organizing is a great opportunity to get the beautiful and comfortable home you’ve dreamed of, without spending a ton of cash, or waiting for weeks to see the results. It’s instant gratification for the decoratively challenged :-)   You decide what room you wish to redo, we get it done in one afternoon at one flat, inexpensive rate

  • Do you find that you are too busy to focus on decorating your home or small office?
  • Do you find that you could be a bit more organized and have a better and more efficient routines?
  • Do you desire a beautiful and comfortable home to entertain friends and families
  • Are you planning a party or event soon?
  • Do you already own great pieces of furniture, upholstery and accessories but your space still does not feel well pulled together?
  • Do you cringe at the thought of shopping for accessories and furnishings on your own?
  • Do you desire a beautiful, comfortable and organized space?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then HappyNest One-day room makeovers is for you!

Here’s how it works:

During your initial contact with us, we will ask if you already own all the pieces that will be used for your HappyNest one-day makeover. If you do own all the pieces, we will schedule an initial complimentary consultation to assess the space for your HappyNest one-day makeover and if everything will work, we will go ahead and schedule a day for your makeover. Most people already own all the pieces needed to create a beautiful home. We will “shop” other rooms or storage spaces in your home to find just the right pieces for your makeover.

If you don’t have all the pieces needed to complete your HappyNest makeover, we will make suggestions for other pieces that you may need to purchase prior to makeover day. You may choose to make these purchases on your own, or we can schedule a separate day for a shopping trip to purchase these items. You can choose to accompany us on this shopping trip if you desire.

We may ask that you arrange for moving heavy furniture pieces from one room to another prior to makeover day, as well as hanging heavy artwork or mirrors.

Once everything is in place, we will then schedule a day for your HappyNest makeover. A 75% deposit on design fee is required to be placed on our schedule. We will help you decide on a reasonable budget for materials to be purchased on our shopping trip. Full payment for materials is required prior to shopping.

What’s included in a standard HappyNest Oneday makeover:

  • One day, One room, One flat rate of $650 (Introductory rate. New rate of $850 takes effect in January 2014. Multiple room discounts available) 
  • Initial free consultation (prior to makeover day)
  • 4-6 Hours of design time (including a handyman for up to 2 hours)
  • Re-arrange furniture and accessories
  • Hanging small, light-weight pieces of art and mirrors
  • All tools and hardware needed (rooms with vaulted ceilings may incur additional charges for any special tool or equipment needed)
  • Accessorizing bookshelves and other areas within the room
  • Room cleanup and big reveal

What’s NOT included in our standard HappyNest Oneday makeover:

  • Moving heavy furniture and accessories from one room to another or going up and down stairs with furniture
  • Hanging large and heavy pieces of art, mirrors or accessories
  • Accessories, furnishings or any materials
  • Shopping trips (available separately)
  • Painting, wall repairs, Window Treatments (these items are available at a separate cost anytime)
  • Paint color consultations (This service is available at a separate cost)
  • Electrical or plumbing
  • Heavy cleaning or dusting

Shopping trips prior to makeover day are available at $95 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours billed.

Our HappyNest Oneday makeover is currently only available in Houston and surrounding areas. Our Mail Order Decorator (MOD) design service is the perfect option if you would like to work with an Interior Decorator, but may be you are on a budget, and still want great style. What’s great is that it allows you to decorate in stages – one room at a time at your own pace. If you don’t mind rolling up your sleeves and managing your own project then MOD is for you! You still get to take advantage of the wide range of design services offered by Casa Vilora Interiors for a lot less!

 

What is Mail Order Decorator?

Mail Order Decorator is a great way to hire an Interior Decorator if you are on a budget but still want great style, want to decorate in stages – one room at a time at your own pace. It is a do-it-yourselfer’s option for great design.

We will give you everything you need to know to create a stunning result, including a furniture plan, fabric and paint samples, a shopping list, and thorough instructions for turning your dream interior into a reality.
How Does Mail Order Decorator Work?
Mail Order Decorator works very much like regular design projects done by Casa Vilora Interiors except for a few key things – Everything happens via mail and email instead of face-to-face. All selections for Mail Order Decorator projects are available online or locally, as opposed to the custom and trade-only options used for our full-service design clients. We rely on digital photographs and precise measurements of the space that you will provide. We never actually visit your home, so fret not if you live outside of the Houston area.
What is the Mail Order Decorator design process?
  • Once you sign on as a MOD client, we will provide you with everything you need in order to send us precise measurements and digital photographs of the space. This will ensure that our finished design is completely personalized for your space
  • We will also have you fill out our MOD client profile so we know all about you. The more we know about your likes and dislikes, the better we are able to create a design that represents your unique personality and style.
  • Once we have all of this information we set to work on your project. Then in 6 to 8 weeks, you will receive a personalized plan for creating a Casa Vilora Interiors inspired interior.

What You Can Expect To Receive

  1. A gorgeous reference book that includes a floor-plan of your room, furniture placement drawn to scale, selections for furniture and accessories, sketches and elevations (per project) of important details for your space, an organized shopping guide complete with pricing, and thorough instructions on how to implement your design. This handy book will fit perfectly in your bag if you go shopping and want to take your design plan with you!
  2. A samples packet with the paint, fabrics, and wallcoverings that we have selected for your project.
  3. A beautiful box to keep your design organized. It will hold your MOD reference book and it’s the perfect place to keep receipts and other information you gather while implementing your design

  • Once we receive your payment, we will get the process started to your  customized Mail Order Decorator room
  • We then ask you to forward digital photos of the space or spaces that we will be working on as well as some exterior photos of your home, so that we fully understand the architectural style with which we are working.
  • Next, we will need accurate measurements of the space we are designing. Fortunately, we have a step-by-step guide for both measuring and photographing your space to ensure we have just what we need to get started.
  • We will also need an idea of what you love and the feel you want to achieve in your space. We gain insight for this through a design questionnaire and inspiration photos that you collect from magazines, blogs and other sources. These images also need to be sent via email. We are happy to help you with all aspects of this step, too. So don’t worry if you aren’t tech savvy. We will make this process simple and fun for you! :-)

Prices are based on the average level of difficulty per room type. It’s up to you whether you start with one room or several.
