Decorating your dining room chairs or breakfast room chairs is quite simple and have such spectacular results. I found a few awe inspiring Christmas chair decorations from various sources that I would like to share with you. Pictures are captioned with the various sources. Enjoy!
Who says wreaths are just for front doors? A wonderful Christmas wreath is always very timeless and elegant
The Big Guy himself would want to sit on this chair for his milk and cookie treat
I just love the simplicity of this apple garland. Look how beautifully the red apples pop against the white chair.
How beautiful is this chair! I love the red bow against the greenery. Classic Christmas!
Very natural and beautiful. These look like cuttings from someon’s backyard
Here’s a great way to use those pine cones collecting in the backyard
There is just something about the red satin ribbon against the white slipcovers. Very elegant
What’s Christmas without jingle bells?
I love this plaid ribbon. Very appropriate for a more casual Christmas decor
For a little lot-a bit of whimsy, bring Frosty inside
Simple and natural, great combination!
Often people temporarily remove a big piece of furniture to place their Christmas tree. This is a great way to fill any dead space or empty corner that may result.
If you want to impress your dinner guests and be the hostess with the mostest, try this simple idea.
Which one of these chair decorations is your favorite? Leave me a comment below! Mine is the apple garland. Simple and unique
For chair decoration ideas for all occasions, check out this Pinterest board that I came across from Jen Needham. Very inspiring!

It’s always fun hearing people talk about some of the unique traditions they do at Christmas time with the family. After all, Christmas is not just about the giving and receiving of presents, but it is about family. It’s the season of the year where we step back and take a moment to be thankful and count our blessings, be joyful, and spend more time with loved ones
What are some unique Christmas traditions that you do with your family each year? Share with us some of those fun and funny things you do.
One of the things my kids love to do each year is making a Christmas ginger bread house. Now that they’re a bit older, we don’t do that as much, but I can recall how much fun it was doing it together as a family
I never said we were good at it This one was done about three years ago.
Another fun tradition we enjoy as a family is celebrating ugly sweater day. Yes you heard it right….Ugly Sweater Day!
This is how it works: We pick a day when the kids are out of school for the holidays and we go to a second hand store like Goodwill Store or Katy Christian Ministries and we purchase three of the ugliest sweaters we can find. We then purchase fabric glue, felt, silly strings, pipe cleaners…..anything we can find at a craft store to “embellish” our ugly sweaters. We then get to work to see who can create the ugliest sweater, Sometimes we get our friends and family involved and post pictures on Facebook to compare. It really is alot of fun!
And then we showoff our ugly sweaters! Don’t you just love them?
We have many other traditions that we do at Christmas time……my son always makes an ornament for the tree each year at school. That’s always interesting seeing them on the tree We also always decorate the tree and the house together as a family
Since it’s just the three of us, we don’t get alot of presents from extended family, but we sure like to feel like we are getting tons, so we each spend $20.00 at the Dollar Store and that way we have alot of presents to open Christmas morning. We also buy one or two real presents from the Mommy Claus lists I get every year.
Leave me a comment below with some unique Christmas traditions you do with your family

As always, my kiddos make a list of gifts they would love to get listed in the order of what they want the most. Each year I do my best to get them as many items as possible on their lists (depending on whether they were naughty or nice all year…..Santa is not the only one with that kinda power Call me Mommy Claus
This year, my 16 year old, Courtney, decided to get a bit creative and created a Polyvore mood board for her Christmas wish list. I am guessing that she thinks if I can visualize it, she is more likely to get everything on the list! Nothing could be further from the truth. LOL. I definitely have to give her credit for thinking outside of the box though
And just incase you are struggling with what to get your teenagers for Christmas, here’s a list of gift ideas for teenagers from a picky teenager
Well this board is leaning heavily towards female teenagers but you get the idea: Technology and money are the biggest must-haves.
The list consists of: Sweaters, Uggs Boots, Toms Sneakers, Purses, iPad, Mac Book, Perfume, Beats Headphones, Cash, Charm Bracelets, Watch, Laptop, Gift Cards and other expensive items
She created her Christmas gift ideas wish list using Polyvore. Follow me on Polyvore to see some of my creations!
This is my daughter, Courtney <3

The most magical month of the year is here! The really cold weather is here to stay in Houston. I grew up in Jamaica, where it’s warm all year, moved to South Forida, where it’s warm all year, and then moved to Houston, where it’s supposed to be warm all year! You see a pattern here? I am a warm weather girl!
Each year, like a bear, I go into hibernation. Well not literally, but I stay away from alot of outdoor activities and stay indoors where it’s warm and toasty. There are a few things I love to have around me when the going gets cold – things I like to call my Winter Survival Kit - Which I’m about to share with you!
Aprons under $40 each
Cocktail Napkins under $50 per dozen
Tree Skirts under $98
