Mother’s Day Outfit Inspiration

I guess it depends on how you plan to celebrate Mother’s Day, but have you given any thought to what you will wear?

I haven’t decided really. I am the get up and go kinda person when it comes to dressing up to go out, but somehow my outfits always seem to come together beautifully (If I do say so myself :-) )

I will definitely be going to church like I do every Sunday, and of course Mother’s Day brunch afterwards. Hopefully my daughter will pay for brunch :-) She can afford it. She now works at Rainforest Café as a greeter in addition to her baby-sitting and dog-sitting gigs :-)

So as I was thinking about what I might wear on Sunday, I thought it would be fun to put together a Polyvore board with an outfit that inspires me, and one I would love to wear.

What do you think?

I just love the beautiful Valentino dress because of all the colors and the gorgeous pattern that has a worldly and more exotic feel. It definitely would be a head-turner. The lines of the dress are fairly simple, and the fit quite modest compared to what I normally would choose, but I think it is just gorgeous! This dress retails for $2490 so I will never own it, but I can certainly appreciate it.

The wonderful orange and metallic strappy sandals are Jimmy Choo and they retail for $795. Also one I will admire from a distance.

The Knuckle box clutch is Alexander McQueen and I just love it. It totally could double as a weapon. Lol. This one retails for $2295…..ouch!

The Burberry sunglasses are $230 and the Sairo bracelet is from Pieces.com and retails for $24

So clearly this outfit will serve as inspiration, but if you recently won the lottery, feel free to buy it for me :-)

I would love to hear how you will be spending Mother’s Day and what you plan on wearing. And guys, just so you are included in the fun, tell us what you will be doing for the mothers in your life

  1. That is a really cute outfit. Love the dress and those shoes! I don’t know exactly what we are doing on Sunday, but I have come to the realization that I won’t be able to really enjoy Mother’s Day until I am a grandmother. Every year we have to run around visiting everyone else and I am waiting for the day when I become the one that gets the visits.

  2. Cute outfit, definitely not one that I could ever see being in the budget for me to own hahah! Not sure what I will be wearing yet. I believe Sunday will be a very nice and sunny day out so I’ll probably wear one of my cute summer dresses, maybe a maxi dress. I guess we’ll see. Have a Happy Mother’s Day! :-)

  3. I’m like 4 weeks postpartum, so whatever fits me is what I’ll wear for Mother’s Day. I wish I had a new outfit though! Love the colors in the one you chose!!

  4. Oh my word, I LOVE that outfit!!! I’d have to see if I could come up with a knock-off version, though…my word at those prices, ha! I will probably have some sort of a dress on for Mother’s Day, since I will be a church first :)

  5. If I saw that dress, I would probably walk past it, but all by itself, not among a bunch of others? I totally love it!

  6. Your Polyvore board is more like a wish list. As for me and my family, we are really very casual. I’ll probably don some capri pants and a simple button up blouse.

  7. Very cute outfit! I haven’t thought about what to wear but my mom always likes to to be a little dresses up for our family get togethers! It is a good reason to shop for a new outfit.

  8. Love your choices. They all go together so well. Have a great lunch with your family and I hope everyone has a wonderful Mother’s Day Weekend!

  9. My budget and I are upset with you for making us want to go shopping. :-) Kidding! Super cute outfit! I will be wearing jeans, a cute top, and my converse to church – like I do most Sundays, because I can’t be that casual at work. I am loving the corally colors this season!

  10. What a pretty outfit! We go to church on Saturday nights so I tend to wear my most comfortable clothes on Sundays.
